Latisse in Mississauga
Want dream lashes without the need for extensions or false lashes?
Beautiful eyelashes can be yours with Latisse. Available at Dr. Karen O’Neill’s Mississauga clinic, this exciting prescription treatment is clinically proven to grow lashes.
Latisse is the only Health Canada and FDA-approved prescription treatment for inadequate or sparse eyelashes.
How it works
Latisse is a solution applied at bedtime along the base of your upper eyelashes, as instructed by Dr. O’Neill. You may start to see improvements in as little as 4 weeks. Most patients achieve full results with 16 weeks of daily use. You can maintain your improvements by using Latisse 3 or 4 nights per week.
The active ingredient in Latisse is bimatoprost, which provides an enhanced look that is thicker than before. Your eyelashes can also grow longer because their growth phase is extended.
Latisse Eyelash Treatment – Toronto’s Trusted Clinic
Latisse is a topical prescription product from Allergan, (the maker of Botox and Juvederm). It has been used as a glaucoma medication for years under the name Lumigan. The product Latisse launched in Canada in November of 2010.
The use of bimatoprost or Latisse for eyelash enhancement was discovered by serendipity. Some patients using bimatoprost for glaucoma accidently got the product on their eyelashes. Eye doctors noticed these individuals (both male and female) grew amazing long lashes. After years of careful study, it was determined a 5% concentration of Lumigan is all that is required for safe eyelash enhancement.
Latisse is a prescription medicine only available through cosmetic physician offices, not pharmacies. Dr. O’Neill or one of her team offer a complimentary consultation to determine if you are a suitable candidate for Latisse. You should not use Latisse if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have a current eyelid irritation or rash
- You have glaucoma before speaking with your ophthalmologist
